By hiring Palm Beach Maid customer accepts Terms of Service.

Independent Hiring Policy

Whereas it is acknowledged that Palm Beach Maid invests considerable time, energy, skill and revenue into the recruitment, training, management, motivation, and compensation of its employees, the Customer agrees not to hire or attempt to hire a present or former employee of Palm Beach Maid for any purpose whatsoever, for the term of this agreement and for a further period of two years after last service date, without the express written permission of Palm Beach Maid. However, if you do wish to employ a staff member directly please discuss this matter with the owner of Palm Beach Maid. If you are found to have solicited one of our staff please be advised that our referral/training fee is $3,500 per hired employee. Payment is due within 30 days from the date on the invoice. We consider our employees our most valuable asset and charge accordingly.

Accepted Forms of Payment

Palm Beach Maid does not accept cash payment in order to reduce the liability for cleaners to carry cash with them.
Our preferred payment method is check, which should be made out to Palm Beach Maid. Please tip your cleaner separately from the check made out to Palm Beach Maid.
We can also accept credit card payments, however there will be a 3.5% service fee added to your cleaning total to cover transaction fees and other costs related to accepting credit cards. Our posted prices are based on check payments, please refer to website for credit card-based prices. Please contact our office for further information on accepted forms of payment

Credit card on file

Palm Beach Maid requires all customers to have a valid credit card on file. Customer will be emailed our Credit Card on File Agreement for online signature. The CCOF Agreement must be signed within 8 hours otherwise your booking will be cancelled.

It is not mandatory to pay by credit card. Check payments are welcome at the time of service in which case the credit card on file will not be charged.

Returned Check Policy

In the event that Customer's check payment is returned by the Customer's bank, Palm Beach Maid will charge the credit card on file for the original check amount plus a $25 Returned Item Fee, as well as a 3.5% service fee.
Palm Beach reserves the right to withhold future service until account balance has been paid by customer. Customer is allowed two returned checks after which payment by check will not be accepted.

Payment due on day of cleaning

Full payment is due on the day of the cleaning. No exceptions. If there is no check payment for the cleaner when she's done, then the card on file will be charged for the cleaning total including a 3.5% service fee.

If you are home during cleanings, simply give your cleaner the check as she's leaving. If you're not normally home, then please leave the payment on the kitchen counter.

If you forget payment, then your card will be charged when she's done.

Credit card pre-authorization

Palm Beach Maid uses credit card pre-authorization to place a hold on the credit card on file in the following manner:

Credit card pre-authorization holds normally drop off within 72 hours, or as soon as payment is captured.

Waiting Fee

In the event that the cleaner needs to wait for the customer for any reason then the customer will be charged for that time at the hourly cleaning rate.

For example, if the cleaner arrives for the appointment and the customer arrives 15 minutes later to let her in, then such time will be added to the cleaning time.
If the customer asks the cleaner to wait for her and the cleaner is done but the customer arrives 15 minutes later, then such time will be added to the cleaning time.

Essentially, the customer is charged from the time the cleaner arrives until the cleaner is done and allowed to leave. There is no additional charge for waiting if waiting is compensated with less cleaning that day.

Lock Out Fee

Customer will be charged a $69 Lock Out Fee for all cancellations due to lock-outs where the cleaner arrives at the house but is unable to enter the house. Palm Beach Maid will attempt to contact the customer and have the cleaner wait for up to 30 minutes.

Cleaner will check-in to mark her arrival time and if the customer is able to let the cleaner in within 30 minutes then Customer will only be charged a Waiting Fee.

If Customer is unable to let the cleaner in within 30 minutes, then the Cleaner will leave and Customer will be charged a $69 Lock Out Fee on the Credit Card on file.

This fee is enforced to compensate the Cleaner for her time and some of her lost work hours.

Late Cancellation Fee

Customer will be charged a $49 Late Cancellation Fee on the Credit Card on file for cancellations that we receive less than two hours before the appointment as long as the cancellation is received before the cleaner arrives at the house, or at the security gate.

Once the Cleaner arrives, then such cancellation will be considered a Lock Out and a $69 Lock Out Fee will be charged to the Card on file.

This fee is enforced to compensate the Cleaner for her time and some of her lost work hours.

Cancellation Fee

Customer will be charged a $29 Cancellation Fee on the Credit Card on file for cancellations that we receive less than 48 hours before the appointment.

This fee will be waived twice per calendar year for all weekly and biweekly customers after their 5th cleaning service. New weekly and biweekly customer will be charged a Cancellation Fee until they reach their 5th cleaning service.

This fee will be waived once per calendar year for all on-call customers after their 5th cleaning appointment. New on-call customers will be charged a Cancellation Fee until they reach their 5th cleaning appointment.

There fee cannot be waived for move-in or move-out cleanings.

This fee is enforced to compensate the Cleaner for her time and some of her lost work hours.

We ask that all customers provide a minimum of 48-hour notice for any cancellations and reschedule requests. If possible, more notice is very much appreciated! It is our goal to provide our cleaners with steady pay checks. Unpredictable work hours create high turnover. Please help us avoid these situations by communicating any schedule changes in a timely manner.
